Habitat Restoration BMPs

The Desert Tortoise Council developed a series of Best Management Practices for Habitat Restoration in the following fact sheets:

Fact Sheet 1: Restoring Perennial Plants
Fact Sheet 2: Enhancing Forage
Fact Sheet 3: Salvaging Topsoil
Fact Sheet 4: Rehabilitating Severe Disturbance
Fact Sheet 5: Reducing Impacts of Roads

Construction BMPs

The latest Best Management Practices document for Construction Sites is now posted on the DTC website. This document was prepared to assist and support those preparing Biological Assessments, federal agencies preparing Biological Opinions, and project proponents in understanding the potential requirements and in the siting of their projects to reduce impacts and costs.
